Un encuentro con los lectores
Desde 1965, las plumas más prestigiosas de las letras nacionales han sido reconocidas por entregar, año con año, una obra destacada que desde la poesía, la narrativa o el ensayo, enriquece el panorama creativo, intelectual y estético de México y el mundo.
En esfuerzo para que el premio trascienda la esfera del sector especializado y logre establecer un diálogo cercano y entrañable con los lectores, el Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, realizará la segunda edición del Taller “Premio Mazatlán de Literatura: Un encuentro con los lectores”.
El jueves 13 de octubre, el escritor e historiador Carlos Tello Díaz se reunirá con un grupo de lectores para hablar y discutir a fondo sobre obra “Porfirio Díaz, su vida y su tiempo: La guerra (1830-1867)”, merecedora del Premio Mazatlán de Literatura 2016.
A lo largo de tres horas los asistentes tendrán la oportunidad exclusiva de dialogar con el autor sobre los procesos de escritura de su libro en donde desentraña los orígenes, la formación y el ascenso al poder de uno de los hombres más importantes en la historia de México: Porfirio Díaz.
Los requisitos para formar parte del Taller “Premio Mazatlán de Literatura 2016: Un encuentro con los lectores” son:
1.- Enviar su solicitud de ingreso al correo electrónico fculturamzt@gmail. com con su nombre completo, teléfono y, si lo tiene, nombre de perfil en Facebook.
2.- Leer “Porfirio Díaz, su vida y su tiempo: La guerra (1830-1867)”.
3.- Estar dispuesto a participar de forma activa en el evento, pues se trata de una oportunidad interactuar de forma directa con el autor y compartir dudas, inquietudes, observaciones y opiniones.
4.- Ingresar y mantenerse al tanto del material que se enviará a través del grupo de Facebook “Premio Mazatlán de Literatura 2016: Un encuentro con los lectores”, para enriquecer este proyecto.
El grupo tendrá cupo limitado a 30 personas. La sede de este encuentro será Casa Haas, el 13 de octubre a las 18 horas.

“A Meeting with Readers´
The Mazatlán Prize for Literature is one of the oldest and most important Mexican literary awards in Mexico. Since 1965, the most prestigious national writers have been recognized for giving, year after year, remarkable work which includes everything poetry to narrative or essay, enriching the creative, intellectual and aesthetic panorama of Mexico and the world.
Hoping that this award goes beyond the sphere of the specialized sector and achieves a close and intimate dialogue with the most important audience, the readers, the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan is holding the second edition of the program “Mazatlan Literature Award: an encounter with readers”.

On Thursday, October 13th, writer and historian Carlos Tello Díaz will meet with a group of readers to discuss his work, “Porfirio Díaz, his life and his times: the war (1830-1867)”, which won the Mazatlan literature award 2016.
During the three hours, those attending this event will have the exclusive opportunity to engage in dialogue with the author about the process of writing his book and the origins, formation and the rise to power of one of the most important men in the history of Mexico: Porfirio Díaz.
The requirements for being part of the workshop ” Mazatlán´s Literature Award 2016 “An encounter with readers” are:
1. Send your application via email to fculturamzt@gmail.com with your full name full, phone, and if you have an account, name of profile on Facebook.
2. Read “Porfirio Díaz, his life and his time: the war (1830-1867)” (must read and speak Spanish).
3. Participate actively in the event, since it is an opportunity to interact directly with the author and share questions, concerns, comments and opinions.
The group will be limited to 30 people.
For those who have difficulty to buy the book, starting on Tuesday, September 13, there will be 10 copies available at the library “The House of Caracol”.
